Small evergreen shrub with big colorful flowers, it is very similar to alpine rhododendron. It comes from Himalaya. The essential oil is obtained by steam-distilling the whole plant.
It helps release blocked and stagnant mental energies. It dissolves anger and anxiety, promoting interpersonal communication.
It has a balsam, slightly spicy aroma.

Rhododendron

It decongests the airways. It promotes sleep and the elimination of uric acid. It purifies the rooms, so it is perfect in therapeutic and meditation settings.

Suggested uses and dosage:

  • Home diffuser: add 2-3 drops to 100 ml of water. We suggest to use it together with other essential oils.
  • Bathtub: emulsify 5-10 drops of essential oil with coarse salt — or alternatively milk, cream, or honey — to add to the hot water (so that the oil doesn’t evaporate due to the heat)
  • Massages: 1% of essential oil in a tablespoon of carrier oil or PH-neutral lotion.

Caution: use with moderation. Do not use in case of chronic diseases, pregnancy, or when breastfeeding.
