Mugo pine essential oil (Pinus Mugo), a symbol of attachment to life, grows amidst a thousand difficulties in the most inaccessible Alpine and Apennine areas.
The Ministry of Health recognises its balsamic effect and beneficial effect on nose and throat.
In aromatherapy it is used in cases of muscular and rheumatic pain and as a depurative of the urinary tract. Inhaled to clear the bronchi thanks to its expectorant and calming action . It il also used as an effective regulator of blood circulation.
It has many uses in the kitchen and in liqueur-making: it can be used to make an excellent flavoured butter, an alpine liqueur or to flavour grappa.
From a psychological point of view, it is the main referent of the heart, understood as the seat of feelings.
- Room diffuser: 2/3 drops in 100 ml of water. We suggest combining it with other essential oils.
- Bath: a few drops of essential oil emulsified in coarse salt, milk, cream, or honey to be added to the hot water when the bath is full (to prevent the oil from evaporating due to the heat).
- Massage: a few drops of essential oil in a tablespoon of carrier oil or neutral cream.
- Culinary use: 1 drop in herbal tea
