Description
Opoponax Essential Oil (Commyphora Chironius/Erythraea) is a symbol of passionate love and protection, also called sweet myrrh or red myrrh.
Once it was used to soothe hysteria and hypochondria, it is suggested by aromatherapists to those with skin and respiratory problems. It has antifungal, healing, and anti-inflammatory properties, depending on whether it is used for inhalation or massage.
Opoponax essential oil is now one of the most important and frequent components in perfume making.
Suggested uses:
- Room diffuser: between 1 and 2 drops in 100 ml of water. We suggest accompanying it with other essential oils.
- Bath: 5 to 7 drops of essential oil emulsified in coarse salt, milk, cream, or honey to put in hot water (to prevent the oil from evaporating due to the heat).
- Massage: we recommend diluting a few drops of essential oil in a spoonful of carrier oil.
Warnings: Always use in moderation. Do not use in case of chronic diseases, during pregnancy and lactation. If in doubt consult a doctor/pharmacist.
