Description
The essential oil of Terebinth (Pistacia Terebinthus) symbol of immortality and mystical ecstasy, was used in religious ceremonies. The Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon next to a tree of Terebinth and Abraham raised an altar in Hebron, not far from a wood of the same species.
It is recognized by the Ministry of Health as an antioxidant and beneficial for the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. It supports the well-being of the joints.
In aromatherapy it is mainly used by inhalation, as an expectorant, or diluted in massage oil.
Very atypical flavor, the perfume takes us to a forest where a heavy rain has just fallen, try it in its Essentia Spray version
Terebinth essential oil broadens daily horizons, frees the psyche from evanescent shadows, elevating the spirit.
Suggested Usage:
- Home diffuser: add 2-3 drops to 100 ml of water
- Bathtub: emulsify 8-10 drops of essential oil with coarse salt — or alternatively milk, cream, or honey — to add to the hot water (so that the oil doesn’t evaporate due to the heat)
- Massages: dilute few drops of essential oil in a tablespoon of carrier oil.
Caution: use with moderation. Do not use in case of chronic diseases, pregnancy, or when breastfeeding. If in doubt, please consult your doctor.
