This fruit is known since antiquity. Pliny the Elder called it the “Assyrian apple”.
It comes from South-East Asia.
Our citron is mainly grown and produced in Calabria, but it also grows wild in many Indian areas.
The essential oil is obtained by cold-pressing its thick, rugged, bumpy peel.
It has a sweet, flowery, citrus aroma.

Home diffuser: add between 3 and 6 drops to 100 ml of water
Bathtub: emulsify 8-10 drops of essential oil with coarse salt — or alternatively milk, cream, or honey — to add to the hot water (so that the oil doesn’t evaporate due to the heat)
Food: we recommend 1-2 drops per 100 gr of food, to add after cooking (we suggest to always start with the lower dose and then increase it later, if preferred)
Caution: do not use in case of chronic diseases, pregnancy, or when breastfeeding.
If in doubt, please consult your doctor/naturopath.
