In aromatherapy it is considered an excellent stimulant of blood circulation. It finds a valid use in cases of arthritis, arthrosis, and muscle pain.
For aromatherapists, the fundamental property of silver fir is to relieve lung ailments. Its balsamic scent is a panacea in case of colds, flu, cough, sinusitis, laryngitis, and bronchitis. Aromatherapists, suggest it used in suffumigations as an excellent expectorant.
It is used as a remedy for oily hair.
Also excellent for a nice wellness bath: add a few drops emulsified in milk, cream, coarse salt or honey to the hot water of your tub.
The main psycho-aromatherapy effect of Silver Fir is energy, it stimulates and activates the inner strength and fights crises, intervenes on anxiety, the feeling of inadequacy and the inferiority complex.
Thanks to its purifying effect, it is recommended for use in rooms with stagnant and smoky air through a diffuser.
- Room diffuser: add a few drops in water.
- Fumigations: add a few drops of essential oil emulsified in coarse salt in hot water. Keep eyes and mouth closed.
- Bathtub: add a few drops of essential oil emulsified in coarse salt, milk, cream, or honey in hot water (to prevent the oil from evaporating due to the heat).
- Massage: we recommend to diluite a few drops of essential oil in a spoonful of carrier oil.
